A fast, zero-friction client-side SaaS MVP designed for independent contractors, freelancers, and small businesses to generate structured invoices in seconds directly within the browser.
The Problem & Objective
Freelancers and small business operators often need to issue invoices promptly without navigating complex accounting platforms with heavy monthly seat costs, mandatory signups, and slow load times. The goal was to build an instantaneous invoicing utility that handles math, line items, taxes, and print styling seamlessly in the browser.
What Was Built
An interactive single-page web application featuring dynamic invoice state management. Users can enter business details, client addresses, line items with quantities and rates, tax percentages, and personalized notes, observing totals update in real-time.

- Dynamic row addition and deletion with automatic index recalculations
- Real-time subtotal, percentage-based tax, and final balance computations

- Dedicated print media stylesheet converting the browser DOM into a clean PDF invoice
- Responsive layout enabling invoice drafting from tablets and mobile screens
Design & Implementation
Built with lightweight vanilla JavaScript to avoid unnecessary framework overhead, ensuring the entire tool loads instantaneously. CSS print media queries were written to hide UI control buttons during print or PDF export, yielding an immaculate document ready for client delivery.
Outcome
Successfully shipped a responsive, zero-barrier invoicing tool that allows users to create and print professional billing documents in seconds without server dependencies or recurring software fees.
